I am fascinated by the people and music of the 16th and 17th centuries, and especially the instruments of the viola da gamba family and the composers who wrote for them. I also write and speak regularly about historical performance practice and various approaches to repertories of the renassiance, baroque and classical eras. My work is aimed for audiences of all types, from scholarly articles to CD liners, program notes, and prefatory materials for printed editions. Contact me if you are in need of that kind of service.
Here are links to (what I think are) some of the more notable articles and lectures that I've written - this isn't anything close to an exhaustive list as it appears on my CV, but it gives a general picture of my areas of interest.
